You didn't get podded. Podded means someone kills your pod after killing your ship. Podding does not mean being left in your pod. I made this mistake and it caused confusion in my mind for ages.

Don't touch it. If caught carrying drugs by npc customs ships, you will be fined a multiple of the market value of the drugs, and lose your ship. It is easy to find yourself with a negative bank balance (seriously).

Go for a caracal. Will do lvl2 missions easy, and with some skills can be a mean pvper. Get an osprey if you ever feel the need for some therapy (i.e.mining). Moving up to Cruisers is a neccessity really.
